Elsevier launched the much-anticipated ScienceDirect AI in March 2025. This was a signature launch for Elsevier, marking the first time AI has been used to supplement the capability of the company’s most used property – ScienceDirect.
Semi-famous developed a multi-dimensional, integrated campaign to tell a powerful story of how ScienceDirect AI’s state-of-the-art tools will transform the way academic research is conducted.

The campaign portrays typical users overwhelmed by research materials, lost in a distinctive digital world.
The tagline, ‘Eureka, every day,’ encapsulates how ScienceDirect AI enables researchers and librarians to navigate the world’s largest source of peer-reviewed research, helping advance human progress, in both giant leaps and single steps.





AS PART OF THE PRODUCT LAUNCH, WE CREATED STYLISED ANIMATIONS TO ILLUSTRATE KEY ASPECTS OF THE USER EXPERIENCE.








Motion capture technology allowed us to create the division we wanted between the digital and real worlds. It gave us control over character action, lighting and perspective, as well as the flexibility needed for transitions. A streamlined workflow enabled us to concentrate on creativity rather than the technicalities.
