Founder & Creative Director

DAMIAN TOTMAN

Damian brings decades of design, brand, campaign (and client) experience to the table, which is the foundation of Semi-famous' principles and output. Prior to starting Semi-famous in 2019, Damian built and led the global creative studio inside tech giant, Bloomberg LP, based in New York and London. Damian has created powerful global campaigns and award-winning creative work for powerhouse brands such as HSBC, CBRE, Morgan Stanley, Ralph Lauren, Toyota, IBM, Smirnoff, GfK, and some soon-to-be-famous start-ups. And, he still does creative work for Bloomberg.

LAURA BAILEY

Laura's career spans 20 years across both brand and agency side. With 15 years client-side experience leading complex, multi-million-dollar brand programmes – working cross-brand, sub-brand, and multi-region (!) at a planning and strategy level to conceptualise, plan, develop and deliver roll-outs and activations for a house of famous lifestyle brands.
Taking a redundancy opportunity in 2018, Laura set up and ran an independent branding agency, before joining the Semi-famous team in 2021 where she now leads planning, management and delivery of all studio projects.

Strategy Director

SIMON COTTERRELL

Simon is a brand strategist whose career falls neatly into two halves. The first half saw him working as a planner in some of the world’s leading ad agencies – Howell Henry Chaldecott Lury, Saatchi & Saatchi, Lowe and DDB. Whilst the second half saw him flip over to the world of brand consulting, working initially for Interbrand and Landor before setting up his own agency and, latterly, returning to Interbrand as Head of Strategy. Simon strives to bring to clients the best bits of these two disciplines – the single-mindedness and creativity of an ad agency with the business acumen and 360 application of a brand consultancy.
